Wei Sun

Dr. Sun investigates the interdisciplinary field of integrated photonics and cold atom quantum control. He obtained his BSc at Soochow University, and PhD at University of Science and Technology of China. During his PhD time, he was working on the ultracold atom quantum simulation, leveraging the interaction of lasers and the degenerate quantum gas for novel topological state simulation. In 2022, he joined the Integrated Photonics Lab and conducted investigations in applying integrated photonics for cold atom quantum control. Now, he has carried out a series of works on compact, narrow-linewidth lasers and optical combs on chip, paving the way to integrate on-chip laser systems for cold atom manipulation.
