The 2025 Fresnel Prize for fundamental aspects is awarded to Junqiu Liu
June 17, 2025,The 2025 Fresnel Prize for fundamental aspects is awarded to Junqiu Liu, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei National Laboratory, Hefei, Anhui, China for pioneering contributions to ultralow-loss silicon nitride integrated photonics and its applications in nonlinear optics, quantum information, and frequency metrology, bridging fundamental and applied physics.

Ultralow-Loss Integrated Photonics Enables Bright, Narrowband, Photon-Pair Sources
深圳国际量子研究院刘骏秋研究团队,基于可工业级量产的超低损耗氮化硅波导,在集成量子光源构建方面取得重要进展。利用超高品质因子微腔,该集成光源产生光子对的线宽首次达到原子跃迁线量级,且其亮度为迄今硅基集成光学平台的最佳纪录。该工作揭示了“工业级大规模量产”超低损耗集成光学在光量子调控领域的巨大潜力,对基于量子中继器的量子互联网大规模部署具有重要意义,同时也为大规模集成光量子信息调控的发展奠定了坚实基础。相关论文于2024年8月22日发表于学术期刊《Physical Review Letters》。

A wideband, high-resolution vector spectrum analyzer for integrated photonics
近日,深圳国际量子研究院刘骏秋研究团队发展了一种新型的矢量光谱分析仪。该矢量光谱仪工作在光通讯波段,能够在55.1 THz的带宽范围内以471 kHz的频率分辨率对集成光学器件的复线性响应进行表征。该光谱仪还具备发射光谱采集和分析功能,能够对未知光源以3 MHz频率分辨率和56 dB动态范围进行光谱分析,指标超过已有商用光谱分析仪。该工作为当前发展高性能集成光芯片器件和系统提供了关键的表征支撑技术,以“A wideband, high-resolution vector spectrum analyzer for integrated photonics”为题发表在国际光学顶级期刊Light: Science & Applications上。

Integrated Optics Team and Collaborators Make Significant Progress in Research on Microresonator Solitons Optical Frequency Combs
近日,深圳国际量子研究院刘骏秋研究员团队联合上海大学通信与信息工程学院郭海润教授团队、深圳大学电子与信息工程学院蒙山教授团队,在微腔孤子光频梳的研究中取得重要进展。该团队利用调制边带冷却方法,有效地克服了集成光学中常见的热稳定性问题,在超低损耗氮化硅集成微腔中成功实现了重复频率为20 GHz的孤子光频梳,极大降低了微腔孤子光频梳的制备难度。在此基础上,团队利用程序自动地、确定性地生成不同孤子数的孤子态,一次性成功率接近100%,且孤子生成时间缩短至10秒左右。该工作具有自动化、高效性、确定性等特点,为科学研究和工程应用提供孤子光频梳生成的一体化解决方案。相关成果以“Programmable access to microresonator solitons with modulational sideband heating”为题,在SCI一区期刊APL Photonics发表。

Researcher Junqiu Liu from Shenzhen International Quantum Academy Awarded PhotoniX Prize Technical Breakthrough Award
1月25日,“2023国际量子光子学大会(QPhotoniX 2023)”在金华开幕。本次大会由中国光学工程学会、中国科学技术大学上海研究院、浙江师范大学、金华市人民政府共同主办。大会以“量子之光,点亮未来”为主题,聚焦量子计算、量子通信、量子精密测量和相关产业开展学术研讨和应用对接等。会议规模600余人,包括来自16个国家和地区的50余名境外专家。本次大会是国内量子光子学领域举办的规模最大、规格最高的学术盛宴。与会嘉宾在11月24—27日为期4天的时间里,在量子光子学领域进行学术与技术的思想碰撞。
